In case if you continue douching during the process of pregnancy the chances of a premature delivery is common.

A study was conducted and 141 women in Los Angeles were asked to the pinpoint the reasons of douching. They were of the opinion that 6 out of 10 African American women douched and in comparison to that the ratio stood at 4 out of 10 in case of Latin America. This further went on to ensure that the former were more prone to douching firstly. What was noticed is that these women learnt the art of douching from their mothers. In spite of numerous vaginal creams and products available in the market, it is better to stay away from douching on all counts. Most of the women who went on to douche were of the opinion that they undertook it for the reason of good hygiene. What people tend to forget is that it goes on to disturb the normal balanced of the bad and good bacteria in the vagina.

Now the question that might strike you is how to clean the vagina. The moment you are bathing the outside of it you can wash it with warm water. As far as the interiors are concerned, you would need to let it clean itself by the process of mucus. At the same time you need to take note of the fact that the vagina and a healthy one would not smell like a garden of roses. But medical experts are of the view that you should get in touch with your doctor if you notice a thick discharge. There might be some sort of burn or redness around the region of the vagina. This could also emerge when you urinate or have pain during the course of sex as well.
