There are actually some proper symptoms of abnormal pregnancy which one should not take casually. If any of them happens then one should consult their gynecologist immediately for proper help.

Vaginal bleeding

If this occurs during pregnancy, then it can be a frightening experience. There is a number of reasons why this can happen. If one has spotted at a very early stage of pregnancy then it can be due to embryo planting in the uterus and it has nothing to be worried about. But if it occurs late then it might happen that there is an infection in the cervix and there is also a chance of miscarriage. Also, bleeding can be a sign of ectopic pregnancy. Always call a doctor to check it.

Excessive nausea and vomiting

Nausea and vomiting are quite common, particularly in the first trimester, due to all the pregnancy hormones that your body releases. But if there are heavy vomiting and nausea then it can be a sign of something more serious. There can be some extreme dehydration which can cause this and so one needs proper medication to cure it. Also if it is severe dehydration, then the doctor might put one on an intravenous drip to rehydrate them.

Raised temperature

If one suffers from fever during pregnancy then it has to be taken seriously. One may have infection or illness not related to pregnancy as well. If it does not have severe symptoms then one can try having paracetamols but if it does not go away in a day or two then seeing a doctor is a good idea.

Leg or calf pain

Cramps in the legs are quite common, but it is also important to be aware of what a cramp feels like as opposed to severe pain that can be caused by something like deep vein thrombosis due to a blood clot in the leg. It is possible that one could develop this during pregnancy. One leg may also be more swollen than the other. It is safest to consult your doctor immediately.

Vaginal discharge

One should never ignore the change in the increase in vaginal discharge during pregnancy. It can turn watery, bloody or mucous and it indicates the presence of infection there which has to be treated with antibiotics.  Bloody discharge could be an indication that you are going into labor or miscarrying. If you are over 37 weeks into your pregnancy, an increase in discharge is normal and can be a sign that you are going into labor.

Breaking of waters

When the sac containing the baby opens then the fluid breaks down. This happens mostly before labor. But if this happens before then going to a doctor immediately is necessary.

These are the basic signs of abnormal pregnancy that one should not ignore under any condition and consult their gynecologist immediately for help.
